Privacy Policy

The Short Version

Your data lives on your device. If you enable iCloud, it syncs across your devices using your private iCloud account. We, the developers, never see, collect, or store your diary entries or any personal data you enter into the app. Your privacy is paramount.

1. Scope & Who We Are

This Privacy Policy applies to the Radically DBT application (the "App"). We are dedicated to providing you with tools for emotional wellness while fiercely protecting your privacy. This App is designed for educational and self-management purposes and is not a replacement for professional medical advice.

2. What the App Stores & Where It Lives

The App is designed to be a private, secure space for your personal reflections.

• On Your Device: By default, all data you enter into the App, including diary entries, skill usage, and custom trackers, is stored exclusively on your device's local storage. We do not have access to this information.
• In Your iCloud (Optional): You have the option to enable Apple's iCloud sync. If you choose to do so, your data will be encrypted and stored in your personal iCloud account. This allows you to keep your data in sync across multiple devices (like an iPhone and an iPad) logged into the same Apple ID. This process is managed by Apple, and your data remains within your private iCloud space. We do not have the keys to decrypt or access this data.

3. What We Don't Do

To be crystal clear, we believe in privacy by design. Therefore, we NEVER:

• Collect, view, or access your diary entries or any other personal content you create in the App.
• Require you to create an account or sign in to use the App.
• Track your activity across other apps or websites.
• Sell or share your data with third parties, advertisers, or data brokers. There is no data to sell or share.
• Store your data on our own servers.

4. Limited Information We May Receive Outside the App

While we don't collect data from within the App, we may receive some limited, non-personal information through standard channels:

• App Store & TestFlight: Apple provides us with anonymized and aggregated analytics about app usage, sales, and crash reports. This data (e.g., number of downloads, device type, iOS version) helps us improve the App and cannot be used to identify you personally.
• Support Communications: If you contact us for support via email, we will have your email address and any information you choose to provide in your message. We only use this information to communicate with you and resolve your issue.

5. How the App Uses Your On-Device or iCloud Data

The data you enter is used solely for the App's functionality, which includes:

• Displaying your diary entries and tracked skills back to you.
• Generating analytics and insights charts for your personal review within the App.
• Allowing you to export your data as a PDF or other format to share with your therapist or for your own records.

6. Your Controls

You are in complete control of your data. You can:

• Export Your Data: Use the App's export feature at any time.
• Delete Your Data: You can delete individual entries or all data within the App's settings. Deleting the App from your device will also delete all of its associated local data.
• Manage iCloud Sync: You can enable or disable iCloud sync at any time in your device's iCloud settings.

7. Data Retention

Your data is retained on your device or in your iCloud account for as long as you use the App or until you decide to delete it. Since we do not store your data, we cannot delete it for you.

8. Children's Privacy

Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from children without verification of parental consent, we take steps to remove that information.
