Agreement to Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using the Radically DBT mobile application (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App. We may modify the Terms at any time, and such modifications will be effective immediately upon posting.

Purpose of the App

The App is designed for educational and self-management purposes to assist users in their journey with Dialectical Behavior Therapy. Its intended uses include, but are not limited to:

  • Track emotions and moods
  • Practice Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills
  • Maintain a personal diary
  • Monitor personal wellness patterns

Medical Disclaimer

The information and tools provided in the App are not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The App is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition.

  • Always seek the advice of your physician or other qualified mental health provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition.
  • Never disregard professional medical advice or delay in seeking it because of something you have read or accessed on this App.
  • If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number immediately.

Your Responsibilities

As a user of the App, you agree to the following responsibilities:

  • Use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes only and in accordance with these Terms.
  • Not rely solely on the App for mental health care, and maintain regular contact with qualified healthcare providers as appropriate.
  • Maintain the security of your device and any data stored within the App.
  • Create regular backups of your data using iCloud or other backup methods, as you are responsible for any data loss.
  • Not attempt to reverse engineer, modify, or distribute the App without authorization.

Intellectual Property

The App and its content are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws:

  • The App's design, code, and original content are owned by Radically DBT and protected by copyright.
  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) was developed by Dr. Marsha Linehan. We acknowledge and respect her pioneering work in this field.
  • Any personal content you create within the App (diary entries, notes, etc.) remains your intellectual property.
  • You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from the App without express written permission.

Limitation of Liability

The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranties or guarantees regarding the App's performance:

  • We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free from bugs or technical issues.
  • We are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.
  • You are solely responsible for backing up your data. We are not responsible for any data loss that may occur.
  • Our total liability, if any, shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App.

App Features

The App provides the following main features for your personal use:

  • Skills Library: Interactive DBT skills exercises and educational content to help you learn and practice various coping techniques.
  • Diary Entries: Personal journaling functionality with mood and behavior tracking to monitor your wellness patterns.
  • Local Analytics: Personal insights generated from your data directly on your device to help identify helpful techniques and patterns.
  • Crisis Resources: Quick access to crisis support hotlines and resources for emergency situations.

Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Here's a summary of our privacy practices:

  • All your personal data stays on your device and in your iCloud account if you choose to enable iCloud sync.
  • We do not collect, store, or have access to your personal data on our servers.
  • We do not use external analytics services that would track your usage or personal information.
  • Any analytics features in the App work locally on your device using only your own data.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. When we make changes:

  • We will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of these Terms.
  • Significant changes may be announced through the App or other communication methods.
  • Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
  • If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you should stop using the App.

Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by simply deleting it from your device:

  • To completely remove your data, delete the App from your device and remove any iCloud backups if applicable.
  • We do not store your data on our servers, so deletion from your device removes all personal information.
  • These Terms will remain in effect until you stop using the App.
